• Dr. Ptak received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The American University in Washington, D.C..   His extensive research in the field of Physiological Psychology won him a rare appointment to the prestigious Neuropsychology Laboratory of the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD.  Dr. Ptak is a published author in the area of brain function and human behavior.

  While enrolled as a doctoral student in neuropsychology, his own ill health led him to a chiropractor.  While under care for 2 herniated disc spinal injuries, his childhood asthma began to clear.  As his health improved under chiropractic care, he left his promising research career and enrolled in chiropractic college.  Dr. Ptak graduated Cum Laude from Los Angeles Chiropractic College in 1985 and entered private practice in 1986.

  Dr. Ptak has extensive post graduate training in holistic health and nutrition.  He attended Emperors College of Traditional Oriental Medicine studying acupunture and herbology.  He has studied a wide range of chiropractic and healing techniques including Pettibon, Chiropractic Biophysics, Applied Kinesiology, Sacro-Occipital Technique, DNFT, Palmer upper cervical, Diversified techniques.  Dr. Ptak has extensive training in functioal neurology and applies the Pettibon System of permenant corrective care in his practice.  Dr. Jeff is an expert in the care of child and adult sports and recreational injuries, the rehabilitation of injured workers and auto accident injuries, and has been appointed a Qualified Medical Evaluator by the Industrial Medical Council.

  Dr. Ptak is an active member of the International Chiropractic Association, the Foundation for Chiropractic Research, the Chiropractic Sports Council, the World Chiropractic Alliance, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, American Pregancy Association, and the California Chiropractic Association.
