YOUR LIFE LIST -
All this moving around has got me going back to basics. We moved our home last August and its now been 3 weeks in the new office. It just flies by. My thot's for this week are about stepping away from the routine of your week to set aside a few minutes to create your "life list". This will be the most important list that you will ever make. More important than the grocery list, or the "to do" list, or the daily work list. This list will be your authentic masterpiece....a reflection of your highest aspirations and unique to you...no matter what the list consists of. The beauty of this list is that it will bring you more satisfaction than you can imagine, for at the end of your days...it will serve as the reminder of all you have done and set your memory on fire as you recall your accomplishments. Here is how the life list works....
1. Buy yourself a blank notebook.
2. Date the page.
3. Write down everything that you want to do in your life....write down things that you want to experience or accomplish. Don't get too detailed or complicated. For example your life list could read....I want to swim in the ocean...or I will play ball with my son one day....or I will see the Grand Canyon....or I will marry my soulmate one day....or I will earn a college diploma. It could be as simple as watching a golden sunrise or walking in the morning dew and feeling the freshness of a new day between your toes. The list can include your career, family, personal and life aspirations.
4. As you accomplish the items on your list, check them off and write the date that you accomplished your dream.
5. As the years go by don't forget to look back at the year passed and take stock of what you are doing in your life to live the life you have always wanted. Just imagine when you have lived your life to the fullest how wonderful it would be to look back at your life list and recall all of the wonderful accomplishments, dreams and memories that you made happen. We are the catalysts of our own life adventure!
Life is a journey....you hold the compass!
