On Human Development
An appreciation for the nervous system can be gained by learning about the development of the body in the womb.
Shortly after you were conceived, your first cell began to divide over and over. Each new cell was a replica of the first cell, until a change occurred and the first system began to form. THE FIRST SYSTEM TO DEVELOP IN YOUR BODY WAS THE NERVOUS SYSTEM.
The nervous system developed and branched out until it intertwined itself between EVERY CELL. At the end of the nerve branches, where energy and information from the brain was available, your cells began to be changed and organized into their respective parts: your heart, lungs, liver, kidney, reproductive organs, feet, hands, muscles, etc...
Your nervous system supplied the very energy and information that caused the development of the entire body. Today this essential process continues. Within 6 months virtually every cell in your body has died and been replaced. This process cannot be done harmoniously and efficiently if the nervous system is STRESSED.
The bones of the head (cranium) and backbone (spine) protect the CNS. The bones of the spine move freely, and consist of 24 bone rings called vertebra. When the vertebrae are in alignment, the spinal cord and nerve roots are properly protected. But when misaligned, instead of protecting the nerve system they injure it. This is called a vertebral subluxation, or simply SUBLUXATION.
Often the first subluxation occurs at the birth process and is often undetected because it usually does not produce obvious symptoms. This is precisely what the chiropractor is trained to detect. Our mission is to analyze, locate, correct, and maintain in correction subluxations. Thereby allowing everyone the opportunity to perform at there best throughout his or her life.
